Brevard College – Set in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in Brevard, North Carolina is a small liberal arts college, which means a lot to me. It has changed considerably since I attended, but it still offers a quality education for a reasonable price. At the present time Brevard still has only a little less than 600 students, so the students and faculty each have the opportunity to get to know each other. Over half of the students are from out of state or other countries. The area has been known for years for its excellent music camp, and the college has always maintained a quality music program. Join me at Gray Rocks – About ninety minutes outside of Montreal, Canada is a beautiful lodge that is celebrating its 100th year of providing quality family vacations. During the winter there is an excellent ski program that offers all levels of instruction, and I have been fortunate to have been their guest a number of times. They have their own mountain and everyone skiing is in a small class with an instructor. They do a good job of putting people of similar ability into each group. After a day of skiing the indoor pool and whirlpools are very inviting.

The summer season is absolutely gorgeous at Gray Rocks. The lodge is situated on a large lake for canoeing and rowing. Both tennis and golf packages are available. The resort has 22 clay tennis courts and two beautiful and challenging golf courses. Gray Rocks is in the French speaking part of Canada, so it is like being in Europe. The packages include lessons plus room and meals, and the dining is excellent.
